I used a basic point and shoot camera. I edited the clips in WeVideo, which I found surprisingly easy. The only real issue I had was that it took me a little bit longer to figure out how to split and delete video I did not want. Additionally, my video would not upload from WeVideo onto YouTube. The WeVideo page said that it was loading, but it never loaded, though I waited for about 45 minutes.
I think my 5x5 turned out okay. I would've liked to do it with more natural lighting, since my point and shoot picks up natural light better. It also would've been nice to have a tripod or something else to stabilize the shots, but I think I did pretty well considering.
If we do another independent video challenge, it would be nice to do one where we can tell a bit more complex of a story. I found that the impersonal nature of the 5x5 mixed with the limitation of time gave really limited options for what I could shoot.
